Below I will talk about my ultimate, romantic, destination wedding locations all around the world where your wedding is legally recognised here in the UK as well. Have a read through below as there are a few surprises.
Top 10 Wedding Locations for a Romantic Destination Wedding
Lady Of The Rock – Algarve, Portugal
The Algarve is a great destination to get married if you are having families join you on your special day as it is only a 2-hour flight and have plenty of affordable accommodation options. The Lady of the Rock is an incredibly unique venue with lovely views forming the backdrop for your ceremony. It is all true perfection for your wedding day.
Ancient Amphitheatre – Paphos, Cyprus
Imagine getting married in an open-air amphitheatre with spectacular 360-degree views of gardens and the sea, Well it can easily be done in Cyprus at the 5* Elysium Hotel. The Maldives is an amazing location for a destination wedding. Although you cannot get legally married, you can certainly have a blessing that will be just like a wedding service. There are plenty of islands in the Maldives for you to spend your wedding day on but Velassaru Maldives is a great option for a simple and chic wedding. The island is in an exceptional setting that you cannot get anywhere else. A few days after your wedding, you both may want some time just yourselves away from your guests. Santo Winery – Santorini, Greece
An outstanding venue that is situated on the clifftops of Pyrgos boasting mesmerising views of the caldera and the Aegean Sea. It is also a great venue for a larger wedding as it can hold up to 120 guests but also remains a great venue for smaller weddings. Palazzo Gioacchino – Positano, Italy
You can have your wedding in your very own private villa but do not worry, you will not have to be doing all the cooking and serving yourself as it comes fully staffed so it is just like being in your own private hotel. This villa is extremely scenic and is a grand, old villa full of charming features providing beautiful photo opportunities. Both the villa and reception can happen in the villa’s grounds. There are a series of terraces that are a superb spot for it all with their gorgeous views of Positano – one of Italy’s most colourful towns.
