Janae and Carel were looking for artistic London engagement photography so Lee Rushby Photography was a great match for them. We met in the middle of April on The Southbank in London to get some pictures of them to celebrate their engagement.
It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining and it really felt like spring was well underway. They are off to South Africa in December to get married and this was a nice treat for them to get some lovely images in the city that they met in when they were studying and now live here.
We started off in the shade of a nearby railway arch to get them to start relaxing in front of the camera.
We then moved on to a nearby restaurant with this lovely neutral grey wall.
We found a great spot on the rooftops that allowed us to show the London Eye on one of their images.
And we got some lovely couple portraits of them on some nearby steps.
Janae and Carel are a fun couple and as you can see, the fun in their relationships come across well in their images.
Janae had found this red wall on google maps and it was a location on our walk that she wanted us to shoot at. I love the colours here!
Upon the rooftops again and it gave us a chance to do the artistic London engagement photography that we are known for.
We then took a short walk to Westminster Bridge for a view of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
And then down into the Banksy Tunnel for some shots with the graffiti.
Then it was time for some relaxed individual portraits to finish the session. These are great for small prints or acrylic blocks to display on your desk or nightstand.
